HVAC Project Manager

A well-established and growing HVAC contractor is seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager on a temp-to-perm basis to deliver a range of large-scale mechanical and HVAC projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Project Manager to initially join on a contract basis, with a clear pathway to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.

The Role:

As HVAC Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of HVAC projects valued up to £1m, managing schemes from pre-construction through to final handover.

Managing projects from initial site surveys and design coordination through to commissioning, handover, and O&M delivery
Full responsibility for programme, budget, quality, and profitability (P&L)
Managing PAYE engineers and approved sub-contractors on site
Overseeing health & safety compliance, including toolbox talks, audits, and reporting
Managing variations, valuations, applications, and commercial controls
Producing and maintaining detailed project programmes using MS Project
Monitoring risk, managing scope changes, and maintaining a full audit trail
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal teamsTo Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

Proven experience managing HVAC / mechanical projects, including AHUs, VRV/VRF, ductwork, plumbing, chilled water systems, and chillers
Strong commercial and contractual awareness (variations, applications, LADs, retention, defects, specifications)
A minimum of 5 years' experience delivering projects and managing site teams
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication skills and a proactive, client-focused approachThe successful HVAC Project Manager will be on up to £60,000, depending on experience + package.
