Senior Estimator (Progression to Estimating Manager)

A rare opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Senior Estimator who is ready to take the next step in their career. This role is ideal for someone who wants to join a respected and successful main contractor with a clear pathway to becoming an Estimating Manager in the near future, due to an upcoming retirement within the team.

About the Role

This position sits within a well‑established main contractor operating across the commercial, education, healthcare, heritage, leisure and residential sectors, delivering projects up to £40m. The successful candidate will join a strong pre‑construction team based in Hertfordshire, working closely with 7 experienced Estimators in a collaborative and supportive environment. Hybrid working can be discussed with the line manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Estimator — or a highly capable Estimator ready to step up — who is looking for long‑term progression and the chance to take ownership within a busy and reputable contractor.

What We’re Looking For

* 7+ years’ estimating experience

* Strong main contracting background

* Experience across sectors such as commercial, education, healthcare, heritage, leisure or residential

* Someone personable, team‑focused and confident working within a busy estimating department

* A motivated individual who wants to progress into a leadership role
