A well-established and highly regarded main contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its Flooring Division based in Colchester.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist internal trade division of a major contractor, offering stability, structured working hours, and long-term career progression.

The Role

Commercial management of flooring projects from order through to final account

*

Preparing and submitting valuations and applications for payment

*

Cost control, forecasting, and reporting

*

Managing subcontractor accounts and variations

*

Liaising with internal project teams and supply chain

*

Ensuring commercial compliance and margin protection

Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor (flooring or internal trades experience preferred but not essential)

*

Strong understanding of cost control and commercial processes

*

Confident communicator with good organisational skills

*

Ability to work effectively in an office-based environment

*

Relevant construction or commercial qualification preferred
