We’re working with a well-established engineering services contractor in Warrington to recruit a Junior Electrical Estimator. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for someone with either early-stage estimating exposure or an electrical background looking to move into pre-construction.

You’ll be part of an experienced team, learning how to build competitive tenders, interpret drawings and specifications, and understand what makes a bid both accurate and commercially sound.

Our client is a respected North-West contractor delivering electrical and wider building services works across a mix of technically interesting environments.

Internally, they take development seriously. Junior staff are supported with structured guidance, time to learn properly, and exposure to live tender activity so you can build confidence and progress.

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting the production of electrical estimates and tender submissions

*

Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents

*

Preparing take-offs and assisting with labour and material build-ups

*

Sending out supplier and subcontractor enquiries and comparing returns

*

Helping to track clarifications, tender updates, and supporting documentation

*

Working closely with senior estimators and operational teams to understand scope and programme

*

Attending pre-tender site visits where required

Skills & Experience Required

*

Some experience in estimating, tender support, or a relevant commercial support role, or an electrical site background with a desire to move into estimating

*

Basic understanding of electrical building services systems such as power, lighting, containment

*

Confident with Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with numbers

*

Able to interpret drawings and specifications, with support and training where needed

*

Strong attention to detail and a tidy approach to documentation

*

Clear communicator, willing to learn and take feedback on board

*

Ambition to progress into a more autonomous estimating role over time
