A leading European specialist in mission-critical construction is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to take ownership of the full electrical scope on a major hyperscale data centre project in Sintra, Lisbon.
This organisation delivers some of Europe’s most technically complex data centres for global technology clients and is recognised for its strong safety culture, engineering excellence, and long-term career opportunities. This is a senior site-based leadership role with full responsibility for electrical delivery from installation through to commissioning readiness.
As Electrical Project Manager, you will lead and coordinate all electrical activities on site, ensuring delivery is safe, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will act as the key interface between internal teams, subcontractors, and the client.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the full electrical installation scope across the project
* Coordinate electrical design, technical submissions, and site execution
* Monitor progress, quality, cost, and programme performance
* Drive productivity through effective daily and weekly work planning
* Manage labour, materials, and resource allocation
* Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
* Ensure full compliance with safety, quality, and project procedures
* Track milestones, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
* Lead and mentor engineers, supervisors, package managers, and foremen
* Coordinate works with other trades in shared work areas
* Review and sign off on site documentation and foremen reports
* Chair weekly coordination meetings with Safety, QA, BIM, and site teams
* Prepare detailed weekly project reports including progress, forecasts, risks, and variations
* Ensure all actions, issues, and close-outs are tracked and completed
Requirements
* 10+ years’ experience managing large-scale electrical projects
* Strong background in commercial, industrial, or data centre construction
* Trade or Engineering qualification preferred
* Proven ability to manage major electrical contracts and site teams
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
* Experience managing schedules, budgets, and subcontractors
* Data centre or mission-critical project experience highly advantageous
