Senior Quantity Surveyor
A forward-thinking, independent construction and property consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding London-based team. The Senior Quantity Surveyor Role
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will join a multidisciplinary consultancy known for its hands-on approach, collaborative culture, and emphasis on delivering value-driven outcomes across both public and private sector schemes.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of projects from early feasibility to final account, offering expert cost advice, overseeing procurement processes, and supporting junior staff in their development. You will also work closely with clients to ensure the highest level of service delivery.
Senior Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:
Deliver full pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services
Prepare detailed cost estimates, cost plans, and tender documentation
Manage procurement strategies and tender processes
Administer contracts and lead change control processes
Track budgets, manage cost reporting, and maintain financial oversight
Provide value engineering advice and support risk management strategies
Mentor junior Quantity Surveyors and assist in their APC progress
Attend and lead client and project meetings across various schemesRequirements:
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction field
Ideally MRICS or actively working towards chartership
Proven experience operating as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a consultancy environment
Strong knowledge of UK construction contracts (JCT, NEC)
Project experience across infrastructure, education, healthcare, and/or commercial sectors
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
Commercially astute, organised, and proactive in problem solvingIn Return:
