The Role
Based on site within the operations team, you’ll take responsibility for one of three major sections of work on this high-profile scheme. As Senior Engineer, you’ll play a hands-on leadership role, supporting delivery while mentoring and guiding junior engineers on site.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading engineering delivery across your section of works
Managing and supporting junior engineers
Management of specialist subcontractors
Client meetings
Coordinating site activities to ensure programme, quality and safety targets are achieved
Checking and drafting RAMS
Commercial liaison with QS teams
Working closely with site management and technical teams
Contributing to problem-solving and technical decision-making on complex works About You
We’re seeking a Senior Engineer who thrives in technically demanding environments and enjoys responsibility:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar engineering role as senior or section engineer
Experience working on large Civil Engineering projects with complex RC structures essential
Marine experience desirable
Experience in a nuclear or highly regulated environment is advantageous but not essential
Strong understanding of quality-driven delivery and engineering best practice
Confident communicator, able to influence teams on site
Educated to HNC / HND level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
