People Group has exclusively collaborated with an established real estate building consultancy. We have patterned as we are looking for a Senior Clerk of Works/Site Inspector to lead and head up a new team in the compliance division. This is a truly unique opportunity for a driven, motivated and progressive individual.
You will be joining a dynamic and forward-thinking environment, the practice prides themselves on delivering comprehensive construction advice. My client employees over 200 employees across several offices, building surveying, project management, health & safety and cost management are sectors the business specialise in.
This role is ideal for a Senior Clerk of Works/Quality Inspector who is looking to be the driving force behind a new team. You will work closely with the department heads to shape the team and manage the service line. Liaising with important stakeholders, spotting new business opportunities and expanding the client base are key responsibilities.
The successful Senior Clerk of Works/Quality Inspector will come from a building background, the work is new developments, commercial units, retail spaces and high-rise structures. Sites are in London/Cambridge and the Southeast.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction quality, workmanship, and adherence to specifications.
Identify and report defects, non-compliance, and health & safety risks, ensuring timely resolution.
Liaise with contractors, consultants, and internal teams
Maintain detailed records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions.
Collaborate with Building Surveyors and Project Managers to ensure design intent is realised on site.
Provide technical input during pre-construction and construction phases.
Assist in the development of internal quality assurance protocols and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Senior Clerk of Works/Quality Inspector
Construction related degree (not essential)
Member of the ICWCI (Institute of Clerks of Works and Construction Inspectorate)
Proven compliance experience
Business minded/driven
Client facing/interpersonal skills
Full UK driver’s licence
