This is a senior-level opportunity for a Head of SHEQ who’s not just passionate about safety, quality, and compliance—but is equally driven to challenge the status quo and shape what comes next. Working with a respected regional contractor known for its values-led approach and people-first culture, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping both on-site practices and broader business processes.

You’ll bring clarity and confidence to internal SHEQ strategy, setting the tone for high standards across construction and commercial teams alike. Beyond compliance, your remit will include modernising internal systems, embedding continuous improvement, and preparing the business for tomorrow’s challenges. That means looking beyond the audit checklist—thinking ahead, spotting risk early, and proposing smart, workable solutions that push performance forward.

As Head of SHEQ, your role will include:

Leading SHEQ strategy across the full business lifecycle, aligning policy with operational delivery

Auditing with foresight—not just ticking boxes, but asking ‘what happens next?’

Reviewing and refreshing systems and processes, ensuring they’re fit for modern delivery

Leading on key accreditations (9001, 14001, 45001, 50001) and regulatory updates

Developing and delivering training to upskill teams and raise awareness

Advising the Board with clear reporting, strategic input, and business-wide influence
