Conservation Architect Job in Bermondsey, London

Our client is a specialist in heritage-led architecture, known for combining design excellence with deep respect for cultural significance. Their portfolio spans restoration, adaptive reuse, and sensitive new build projects, working across prestigious sites in the UK and abroad.

Role & Responsibilities

You will play a key role in driving and delivering conservation-focused design, working on significant cultural and public sector projects with broad consultant teams.
Work closely with consultants, heritage specialists, and clients
Manage project teams, mentoring junior staff
Oversee technical design, detailing, and compliance with regulations
Undertake contract administration and on-site coordination
Contribute to bids, proposals, and client presentations.

Required Skills & Experience

ARB-registered Architect with 2+ years' post-Part 3 UK experience
Experience working on conservation projects across RIBA Stages 3-5
Ability to contribute to high quality conservation design
Ability to contribute to well-communicating reports and presentations
Ability to manage workload in relation to design and construction programmes
A good understanding of the UK Building and Planning regulations
Software proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit/NBS skills are very desirable
Well organised, proactive and enthusiastic in approach to work and projects
Good communication skills both verbally and written
Ideally be Accredited Conservation Architect (RIBA CA/SCA and/or AABC) or an ambition to become accredited
Experience working on conservation projects across RIBA Stages 0-2 and 6-7
Project management and contract administration experience isn't essential but beneficial.
