Safety Manager
Safety & Leadership Strategy
* · Develop, review, and implement the company’s Health & Safety policies, systems, and procedures.
* · Lead continuous improvement programmes to align with industry best practice.
* · Drive initiatives to reduce incidents and improve safety performance.
* · Provide strategic input to senior leadership to support company growth from a safety perspective.
Company Compliance
* · Plan and conduct regular site audits across all live projects.
* · Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and company procedures.
* · Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; produce reports and manage follow-up actions.
* · Liaise with clients and principal contractors regarding safety expectations and performance.
Collaboration & Communication
* · Work closely with the Operations and Contracts teams to embed safety into planning and resourcing.
* · Support pre-start meetings, RAMS production, and project risk planning.
* · Promote open communication, positive engagement, and recognition of safe behaviour throughout the business.
Skills & Experience Required
* · Proven experience in a safety role within the scaffolding or wider construction sector.
* · Strong knowledge of TG20, SG4, Working at Height regulations, and related industry standards.
* · Demonstrated ability to deliver cultural change or behavioural-based safety initiatives.
* · Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
* · Ability to engage and influence teams at all levels, particularly site-based staff.
* · NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (essential) and actively working towards a Level 6 qualification.
* · CISRS Scaffold Inspector qualification (desirable)
