Design Manager

Design Manager | North Yorkshire | Regional Contractor | £45k – £60k + package

I’m working with a growing North Yorkshire based contractor that specialises in façade and remediation works, particularly compliance-led schemes.

They’re looking to appoint a Design Manager to take ownership of design management and demonstrate competency to the Building Safety Regulator.

The Role

Manage the design process from pre-construction through to completion

Coordinate external consultants, designers, and specialist subcontractors

Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, fire safety, and façade standards

Take ownership of design competency and regulatory submissions

Identify and manage design risk and technical interfaces

Support project teams with buildable, compliant design solutions

Applications are welcome from:

Design Managers / Design Coordinators from a main contractor background

Architects or Architectural Technologists looking to move into main contracting

Candidates with façade, cladding, or remediation experience

You’ll need:

Strong technical understanding of construction and compliance

Experience managing or coordinating design information

Confidence dealing with regulators, consultants, and delivery teams
