Estimator

Our client is a well-established civil engineering subcontractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team.

This is a predominantly office-based role with occasional site visits across the Lincolnshire area, working on housing, infrastructure, and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications

Carry out site visits to assess project requirements

Prepare accurate cost estimates for labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors

Price groundworks and civil engineering packages, including commercial schemes

Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations

Prepare and submit compliant tender submissions

Support pre-construction planning and commercial handovers

Assist with pricing variations and value engineering

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Estimator within groundworks or civil engineering

Experience across housing, infrastructure, and commercial projects

Strong understanding of NEC contracts (NEC4 preferred)

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Esti-mate experience beneficial)

Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Full UK driving licence
