Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Site Manager to oversee construction or infrastructure projects from inception to completion on behalf of our client. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating teams, managing schedules, and ensuring project milestones are met efficiently and safely. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional with strong management skills to lead on-site operations and deliver high-quality results within specified timeframes.
Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise on-site teams, ensuring all work is carried out according to project specifications and safety regulations.
* Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, tracking progress and adjusting plans as necessary.
* Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely procurement of materials and resources.
* Monitor daily site activities, resolving issues promptly to minimise delays or disruptions.
* Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
* Prepare progress reports for senior management, highlighting key achievements and potential risks.
* Manage site documentation, including permits, reports, and safety records.
* Oversee the training and development of team members, fostering a productive working environment.
Skills
* Proven experience in management within the construction or infrastructure sectors.
* Supervising experience with a track record of leading diverse teams effectively.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently under pressure.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising with clients, contractors, and team members clearly and professionally.
* Problem-solving aptitude with a proactive approach to resolving on-site issues promptly. This role requires a dedicated professional committed to delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality.
The Site Manager must have Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification, driving licence and ideally have:
* CITB Temporary Works Supervisor (TWSTC) Course
* First Aid
* Asbestos Awareness
* Fire Warden
* CDM regulations
