An established and forward-thinking property and construction consultancy is expanding its Cambridge team and is now looking for an ambitious Assistant Building Surveyor.

The Role
Working as part of a close-knit Building Surveying team, you'll be involved in the day-to-day delivery of professional surveying services, gaining exposure across both technical and project-based work. You'll be supported by experienced surveyors while being encouraged to take ownership and grow in confidence.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with building condition surveys and defect inspections
Preparing technical reports and client documentation
Supporting the production of specifications, schedules of work and tender packs
Assisting with contractor tender reviews and contract documentation (JCT)
Attending site inspections to monitor quality, programme and health & safety
Supporting fee tracking and basic financial management across projects
Attending client, consultant and contractor meetings
Travelling to site as required across the regionRequirements:
This opportunity suits an Assistant Building Surveyor who is keen to learn, develop and progress toward chartership within a supportive consultancy environment.
You'll ideally bring:
A Building Surveying degree or equivalent relevant experience
2+ years' experience in building surveying
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and JCT contracts
A clear intention to progress towards RICS accreditation or currently working towards it
Strong communication skills and a professional approach
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicleWhat you'll receive
