Senior Estimator/ Estimator – Specialist Construction

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Estimator or Senior Estimator to join a well-established specialist construction business based in Glasgow.

This role would suit an experienced Estimator with a background in construction or specialist contracting who is looking to work within a stable, respected business delivering high-quality projects for major principal contractors across the UK.

About the Business

Our client is a long-standing specialist contractor with over 30 years’ experience, delivering a wide range of construction trade packages including suspended ceilings, dry lining, partitions, joinery, steel framing systems and associated works. The business has built a strong reputation for quality, repeat work, and long-term client relationships across commercial and public-sector projects.

The Role

As an Estimator / Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for:

Preparing detailed cost plans, take-offs and tender submissions

*

Reviewing drawings, specifications and contract documentation

*

Engaging with the supply chain to obtain competitive subcontractor and supplier pricing

*

Developing accurate and commercially sound tender returns

*

Working closely with commercial directors, pre-construction and delivery teams

*

Supporting projects through bid, award and handover stages

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

*

Proven estimating experience within construction or specialist subcontracting

*

Experience working on fit-out, interiors or specialist trade packages

*

Strong numerical ability and commercial judgement

*

Confidence interpreting drawings, specifications and construction methodologies

*

Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
