I am working with a global construction and development group with a long-standing presence in the UK, delivering large-scale infrastructure, commercial and building projects in the search for a Wellbeing Manager to join their team in Watford.

Purpose of the Role:

The Wellbeing Manager is responsible for protecting, promoting and continuously improving employee health and wellbeing across the organisation. Acting as a subject matter expert in occupational health and workplace wellbeing, the role identifies, evaluates and controls health risks while supporting the business to meet legal obligations, industry best practice and internal wellbeing standards across operational sites and offices.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, assess and manage workplace health risks, including exposure to noise, dusts, fumes, chemicals, vibration and biological agents.

Plan and undertake workplace monitoring, surveys and assessments, interpreting results against relevant legislation, standards and guidance.

Provide expert advice on risk reduction and control measures using the hierarchy of control to improve working conditions and employee wellbeing.

*

Support the development, implementation and review of health surveillance and wellbeing programmes where required.

*

Ensure compliance with occupational health and wellbeing legislation, regulations and approved codes of practice.

*

Prepare clear technical reports, risk assessments and exposure summaries for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

*

Support internal and external audits, inspections and investigations relating to health and wellbeing risks.

*

Maintain accurate health, exposure and wellbeing records in line with legal and organisational requirements.

*

Act as a trusted advisor to operational teams, senior management, HR and wellbeing leads on workplace health matters.

*

Contribute to the development of organisational wellbeing strategies, initiatives and continuous improvement programmes.

*

Deliver training, briefings and awareness sessions to improve understanding of health risks, controls and wellbeing practices.

*

Work collaboratively with safety, HR, wellbeing and operational teams to embed proactive health risk management into day-to-day operations.

*

Monitor emerging health risks, industry trends and changes in legislation or guidance.

*

Promote innovation, best practice and continuous improvement in workplace health and wellbeing management.

Support incident investigations and root cause analysis where health exposure or wellbeing factors are involved
