Senior Electrical Project Engineer: up to £85,000 + Car Allow. + Travel + Pension + Healthcare

Based in Weybridge the successful candidate will be reporting into a Senior Project Manager/Project Director. He/she will have an emphasis on technical input and coordination. Within their own discipline they will be responsible for leading the engineering and delivery of the project (Project size £60M. MEP)

The facility is on a large plot the site will house a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical facility with a total value north of £200m.

The successful candidate will be expected to take the project from pre-construction through to handover. Key to this role is relationship management, team coordination and project reporting. The position will be supported by a team of engineers, construction managers and supervisors

Role/Responsibilities:

* Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants)

* Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant

* Technical submittals

* RFIs – Liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors

* Value Engineering where applicable

* Programming of works – using MS Project or Asta project

* Health & Safety management (RAMs)

* Commercial Responsibility, assisting with sub contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Survey.

* Management of variations

* Team Coordination (overseeing junior engineers, construction managers and supervisors)

* Progress meetings with sub-contractors, client and internal meetings

* Overseeing commissioning stages

* Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover

The Ideal Candidate should have:

* Must have experience running MEP over £10M

* Must have major commercial, healthcare or pharmaceutical experience.

* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management role

* Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as Sir Robert McAlpine, ISg, Wates, Mace and Lend Lease
