Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering (Power & Utilities)
Location: Redhill (projects across London)
Salary: Up to £50,000 benefits

We are working with a reputable, medium-sized civil engineering contractor based in Redhill, who are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support their growing workload across power and utilities projects in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious QS with a few years’ experience who is looking to develop their career within a stable, well-regarded contractor known for delivering high-quality infrastructure schemes.

The RoleAs Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in the commercial management of multiple civil engineering projects, working closely with project teams to ensure cost control, value maximisation, and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
Commercial management of civil engineering projects within power and utilities

Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts, and cost reports

Valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts

Managing subcontractor procurement and accounts

Supporting change control and variations

Working under NEC forms of contract (experience highly desirable)

About You
Around 3–4 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role

Experience within civil engineering, ideally power, utilities, or infrastructure

NEC contract experience is highly desirable

Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a construction-related discipline

Strong commercial awareness and communication skills

Able to work collaboratively within project teams
