We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to take responsibility for a major 17 storey, c.700 unit student accommodation development in Cardiff.
As the Site Manager, you will oversee all day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This is a permanent position offering long term stability and the opportunity to progress within a contractor known for delivering major PBSA and residential schemes across the UK.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead and manage all on‑site construction activities as the primary Site Manager
* Coordinate subcontractors, sequencing, and logistics on a 17 storey RC frame structure
* Maintain strict health, safety, and environmental standards across the site
* Track progress against programme, identify risks, and implement corrective actions
* Oversee quality control, inspections, sign‑offs, and snagging to ensure a high quality finish
* Manage site documentation, daily records, permits, and compliance paperwork
* Build strong working relationships with the client, consultants, and internal teams
* Foster a positive, productive site culture focused on teamwork and safe working practices
About You:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on large scale residential, PBSA, or high‑rise projects
* Strong understanding of RC frame construction
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
* SMSTS, CSCS (Black/White), and First Aid certifications
