We are seeking a Senior Security Systems Engineer to join the HS2 Rail Systems Telecoms Engineering team. This is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) role responsible for providing technical expertise and support across multiple HS2 packages in relation to physical security systems. You will play a critical part in the delivery of one of the largest and most complex security systems in the UK, ensuring the successful integration of systems across the project.
 
Essential Requirements:
·Experience delivering projects on major infrastructure programmes including design management, interface management, and risk management.
·Strong understanding of physical security systems including video surveillance, access control, and intruder detection etc.
·Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
·Good understanding of commercial principles, contract management, and scope change.
Experience in project delivery processes, including design management, interface management, and risk management.
 
Key Responsibilities:
·Provide technical and design assurance for physical security systems (CCTV, access control, intruder detection).
·Manage requirements and oversee system integration across multiple contractors.
·Support delivery through construction, testing, and commissioning.
·Manage interfaces, scope control, and stakeholder engagement.
·Providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to multiple HS2 packages and helping to resolve technical issues or disagreements.
