Our client is a family-owned tool and plant hire business offering a range of construction and landscaping solutions. These include Access Equipment, Mini Diggers & Dumpers, Breakers, Drills, Compaction Equipment and Garden Machinery. They have been renting plant and tools to builders, landscapers, civil engineers, utility management companies and homeowners throughout Berkshire and North Hampshire since 1991. They are now looking for a Hire Controller to be responsible for:

* Manage hire enquiries, bookings and contracts from start to finish

* Coordinate deliveries, collections and equipment availability

* Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone

* Ensure plant and tools are supplied safely, on time and fit for purpose

* Liaise with drivers and workshop to keep the fleet moving

* Maintain accurate hire records and support invoicing

* Promote health, safety and compliance across all hires

The Candidate:

* You must have experience of working as a Hire controller.

* Previous experience of tool, plant and construction/landscaping equipment

* Confident using hire systems, booking software and Microsoft Office

* Ability to multitask and stay organised in a fast-paced depot environment

* Good understanding of health & safety in a hire or construction setting

* Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle pressure and resolve issues

* A team player who can also work independently
