Construction Technologist

A well established main contractor working on new build contracts up to £35m is seeking a Construction Technologist/BIM Manager to join their team based in Corby, Northants.

Key Responsibilities

* Technology Integration: Implementing and managing new construction technologies, from surveying tools to design software.

* Design & Coordination: Using BIM and CAD to create detailed, coordinated building plans, ensuring compatibility between architectural, structural, and service designs.

* Data Analysis: Sourcing, analyzing, and evaluating complex project data to solve technical problems and optimize processes.

* Problem-Solving: Developing innovative solutions for unforeseen site challenges, budget constraints, or technical difficulties.

* Technical Support: Providing expert advice to engineers, contractors, and clients on material selection, regulations, and buildability.

Skills & Focus

* Digital Proficiency: Expertise in design software (CAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM).

* Experience with Procore or a similar software.

* Analytical Skills: Ability to perform advanced calculations and analyze technical data.

* Practical Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction processes, bridging the gap between digital models and on-site execution.

* Collaboration: Working with diverse teams, including architects, engineers, site managers, and clients.
