Mechanical Project / Contracts Manager

Location: Leicester (Hybrid Working Available)
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 + Car / Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits

We are working in partnership with a highly respected and well-established Mechanical & Electrical contractor, who are experiencing sustained growth with a full order book through 2026 and into 2027. As a result, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project / Contracts Manager to strengthen their delivery team.

The Role

Based from the company’s offices in Leicester, with flexibility for remote working, the successful candidate will take responsibility for the planning, coordination and delivery of mechanical, plumbing and building services projects ranging in value from £50k up to £5 million. Working closely with electrical and mechanical colleagues, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, commercially and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing full project lifecycle from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover

* Procurement management including technical specifications, drawings, plant and equipment schedules

* Managing subcontractors, suppliers, site activities and material ordering

* Attending and leading site meetings, resolving technical and programme issues

* Coordinating interfaces between mechanical, electrical and other trades

* Organising commissioning, O&M manuals and handover documentation

* Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget

* Utilising AutoCAD as part of project delivery

About You

* Proven experience managing multiple mechanical building services projects

* Strong background in procurement, cost control and commercial awareness

* Sound technical knowledge of mechanical building services systems

* Excellent organisational and communication skills

* Strong understanding of health & safety regulations

* Confident team player who can integrate into a wider MEP team

* Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels
