Senior & Junior Quantity Surveyors / Commercial Managers
Location: SZC Project (site-based)
Overview
We are recruiting for Senior and Junior Quantity Surveyors / Commercial Managers to support the delivery of a major civils and enabling works programme at the SZC project. These are permanent roles offering long-term involvement in a high-profile infrastructure scheme, with opportunities extending well beyond the initial project.
Candidates must either live within a reasonable commuting distance of site or be willing to stay overnight, with a requirement to be on site three days per week.
Role Responsibilities Both roles will focus on supporting the delivery and coordination of programme workstreams within the wider project team. Responsibilities include:
Contract administration under NEC3
Managing payments, variations, and change control
Commercial reporting and cost management
Supporting effective delivery of civils and enabling works
Working collaboratively with the wider project and client teams
Ensuring strong commercial governance and delivery outcomesSenior Commercial Manager / Senior QS Requirements
10+ years’ experience in a commercial or quantity surveying role
Strong NEC3 contract experience
Proven ability to manage commercial delivery on complex projects
Confident leading contract administration, payment, and change management activitiesJunior Commercial Manager / Junior QS Requirements
5+ years’ experience overall
Ideally completed an apprenticeship degree programme
A minimum of 2 years’ post-graduation experience preferred
NEC3 experience with the ability to manage contract administration tasks with appropriate supportGeneral Requirements (All Roles)
NEC3 contract experience is essential
Eligible for BPSS clearance
Sector background is flexible — no requirement for nuclear or power experience
Strong delivery-focused mindset with experience in civils or enabling works preferred
