Asset Management Surveyor
A client within the Public Sector based in Hampshire is currently recruiting for an Asset Management Surveyor to join their Investment & Property Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority commercial property environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role:
To provide hands-on asset and estate management across a large and diverse commercial property investment portfolio, supporting income generation and delivery of the Council’s Annual Property Plan.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Managing day-to-day estate and asset management duties across a commercial investment portfolio, including directly let and ground-leased properties
Negotiating rent reviews, lease renewals, new lettings, surrenders, and dealing with dilapidations
Handling landlord and tenant matters, including processing applications for landlord’s consent
Managing multi-let properties, including service charge budgeting, income monitoring, and overseeing external letting/managing agents
Providing property advice and input into project groups and undertaking property valuations as requiredThe Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
RICS qualification (MRICS or FRICS)
Proven experience in a commercial property / asset management role
Strong knowledge of commercial leases and landlord & tenant legislationThe below skills would be beneficial for the role:
Experience working within a local authority or public sector environment
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Full UK driving licence and access to own transportThe client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £55 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approximately £43 per hour PAYE).
