We are representing a specialist fire protection contractor seeking an experienced Fire Door Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery of multiple fire door installation and remedial projects across Kent, London, and the South East.
This role is ideal for a Contracts Manager with strong technical knowledge of fire doors, a background in carpentry or joinery, and BM TRADA (Q‑Mark) certification or training. You’ll take full ownership of contract performance, ensuring works are delivered safely, compliantly, and to the highest possible standard.
Key Responsibilities of Fire Door Contracts Manager
* Lead and manage multiple fire door installation and remedial contracts, ensuring full compliance with BM TRADA Q‑Mark standards.
* Act as the senior point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders, maintaining strong professional relationships.
* Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with fire safety regulations and certification requirements.
* Oversee site teams, including Supervisors, Fire Door Installers, and Carpenters, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to specifications.
* Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and compliance checks, signing off works in accordance with FRA actions and certification standards.
* Manage budgets, valuations, variations, and commercial reporting.
* Drive health & safety performance, ensuring RAMS, CDM, and company procedures are followed.
* Support programme planning, resource allocation, and operational delivery across multiple live contracts.
Requirements For a Fire Door Contracts Manager
* Proven experience managing fire door contracts (installation, remedials, inspections).
* BM TRADA Q‑Mark Fire Door Installation and/or Maintenance certification (or equivalent FIRAS).
* Carpentry or joinery background (highly advantageous).
* Strong understanding of fire safety regulations, certification schemes, and building compliance.
* Experience working within residential, social housing, or occupied environments.
* SMSTS and CSCS Black/Gold card (or equivalent).
* Excellent communication, leadership, and client‑facing skills.
* Strong organisational and project management abilities.
* Full UK driving licence.
