Site Manager (No.1) – Housing Development

The Role

We are seeking an experienced No.1 Site Manager to take full responsibility for the delivery of a residential housing site. You will be the senior person on site, overseeing all construction activities from start through to completion, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Overall management and control of the housing site as No.1

*

Managing subcontractors, site teams, and suppliers

*

Ensuring works are completed to programme and specification

*

Maintaining high standards of health & safety in line with company and legal requirements

*

Coordinating inspections and ensuring compliance with NHBC / Building Regulations

*

Liaising with clients, contracts managers, and senior management

*

Managing quality control, snagging, and handovers

*

Keeping accurate site records and reporting progress regularly

Requirements

*

Proven experience as a No.1 Site Manager on residential housing projects

*

Strong knowledge of traditional build and/or timber frame housing

*

SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), and First Aid certificates essential

*

Excellent leadership and communication skills

*

Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities

*

Ability to manage multiple trades and deadlines effectively
