Role Overview

An established infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of major power network projects.

This is a long-term opportunity offering either permanent employment or a rolling contract arrangement, depending on candidate preference and experience.

Key Responsibilities

*

Carrying out site engineering and setting out duties

*

Supporting delivery of overhead line and substation works

*

Coordinating with site teams, subcontractors, and planners

*

Ensuring works are delivered in line with design, specifications, and programme

*

Managing as-built records, quality checks, and technical documentation

*

Assisting with temporary works and method statements where required

*

Ensuring compliance with highways, utilities, and power network standards

*

Promoting and maintaining high standards of health & safety on site

Required Experience

*

Proven experience as a Site Engineer within power networks or utilities

*

Strong background in overhead lines and substations

*

Experience working on highways or utility-based infrastructure projects

*

Knowledge of live network environments (advantageous)

*

Confident using setting out and surveying equipment

*

Able to work independently and as part of a delivery team

Qualifications

*

Relevant engineering qualification (HNC / HND / Degree or equivalent)

*

CSCS Card

*

Full UK Driving Licence

Salary / Rate

*

Up to £60,000 (permanent), depending on experience

*
