Mechanical Engineer Bias
Location: University Hospital of Lewisham
Contract: Temp to Perm
Shift Pattern: 7:00am – 7:00pm | 4 Days On / 4 Days Off
Daniel Owen work agency are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong mechanical bias to work at the University Hospital of Lewisham.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with interviews and on boarding taking place immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
Operation, maintenance, and fault-finding of mechanical building services systems
Working within boiler rooms and plant rooms
Ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with hospital standards
Responding to reactive maintenance and supporting planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Understanding how integrated systems work within a critical healthcare environment
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer (building services or similar)
Strong working knowledge of boiler systems, plant rooms, and mechanical systems
Good understanding of how building systems interact and operate as a whole
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
Comfortable working long shifts in a live hospital environment
