The Pre-Construction Lead will lead all pre-construction activities within the façade remediation sector, operating across both main contractor and subcontractor roles. This position requires deep technical expertise in façades, cladding, and fenestration systems, combined with strong commercial acumen and leadership skills. The successful candidate will drive early-stage project development, client engagement, and estimating processes to ensure profitable and compliant delivery aligned with Building Safety Regulator requirements.
What you will be doing:
• Oversee all pre-construction functions for façade remediation projects nationwide.
• Develop and implement pre-construction strategies to support business growth and compliance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing pre-construction team.
• Provide subject matter expertise in façades, cladding, and fenestration systems.
• Ensure designs and proposals comply with Building Safety Regulator processes and current legislation.
• Advise on technical solutions for complex façade remediation challenges.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to secure repeat business and new opportunities.
• Represent the company in pre-tender meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
• Lead the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders, budgets, and cost plans.
• Review and validate subcontractor and supplier proposals for technical and commercial compliance.
• Support risk management and value engineering initiatives during pre-construction.
• Ensure adherence to Building Safety Regulator requirements and industry standards. • Maintain robust pre-construction documentation and audit trails.
About You:
• Proven experience in façade remediation within the construction sector.
• Strong knowledge of cladding, fenestration, and façade systems.
• Working knowledge of the Building Safety Regulator process and associated compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships and secure new business.
• Proven estimating ability with a track record of delivering accurate and competitive tenders.
• Strong commercial awareness and risk management capability.
Desirable Qualifications:
• Degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline. • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIOB, RICS, CWCT).
• Familiarity with façade fire safety regulations and remediation best practices
