Your new role
As an Assistant Contracts Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of projects. You will directly shadow the Key Account Manager, gaining invaluable experience and insights into contract management. Your responsibilities will include ensuring programmes are being followed, monitoring project timelines, and ensuring all activities are completed as scheduled.
You will also be responsible for keeping reporting accurate and up to date, maintaining detailed and accurate reports on project progress, budgets, and any issues that arise.
Additionally, you will oversee the implementation of construction plans, manage subcontractors, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. This role involves travelling to various UK sites three times per week to oversee project progress and liaise with stakeholders, while working from their County Antrim office the rest of the week.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will need a strong construction background with proven experience in the construction industry, particularly with facade projects. Attention to detail is crucial, as you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reports.
Excellent communication skills are essential for liaising with clients, subcontractors, and team members. Flexibility and adaptability are important, as the role requires frequent travel and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements. Additionally, strong problem-solving skills are necessary to identify and resolve issues promptly to keep projects on track.
