Carpentry Apprentice – Fire Protection & Construction Projects
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Carpentry Apprentice to join a growing delivery team, working across fire protection and Social Housing projects for a Tier 1 market leading Specialist Passive Fire Protection contractor. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within carpentry and passive fire protection within a supportive, structured environment.
You will work alongside experienced tradespeople, gaining hands-on site experience while developing your skills through on-the-job training and formal qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
We will rely on you to support experienced carpenters and fire protection operatives on live construction sites within the Social Housing sector
Assisting with basic carpentry works and passive fire protection installations under supervision
Learning how to work from drawings, specifications and site instructions
Supporting the installation of fire stopping systems, including collars, batt & mastic and intumescent products
Helping to maintain high standards of workmanship, quality and compliance
Completing site paperwork and daily task records as required
Working safely at all times in line with health & safety procedures
Maintaining a professional attitude when working in occupied and non-occupied properties
What We’re Looking For:
A genuine interest in carpentry and fire protection with a desire to learn and progress
Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a site-based team
Good attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to take instruction and learn from experienced tradespeople
Professional approach when dealing with site teams and residents
Qualifications:
* Any previous site or trade experience would be beneficial but is not essential
* Carpentry BTEC / Carpentry qualifications
Salary & Package:
* Up to £28,000 basic salary + Package
* Full package included:
* Vehicle share with a Qualified Fire Stopper who you will be working alongside day-to-day.

* 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
* 5-day Christmas shutdown
