About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team delivering projects across commercial, industrial, government, and healthcare sectors. This is a full-time, permanent position based in South Wales, offering the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects with a strong reputation for quality and reliability.
The Quantity Surveyor will manage all contractual and financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring cost efficiency, value for money, and compliance with required standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Cost Management: Monitor budgets and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
* Contract Negotiation & Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
* Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
* Reporting: Prepare detailed cost analysis reports and recommend best options.
* Procurement & Payments: Maintain accurate financial records and oversee payment processes.
* Client Communication: Liaise with clients to understand requirements, resolve disputes, and provide contractual advice.
* Documentation: Produce regular reports on project costs, progress, and financial status.
About You
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Management, or related field.
* Proven experience in a similar role within construction or building services.
* Strong analytical and numerical skills.
* Excellent negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficiency in cost estimation and project management software.
* Knowledge of construction contracts and regulations.
Working Hours
40 hours per week:
* Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
* Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
