Quantity Sruveyor

We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support highways works in Barking as part of a long-term highways framework.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a steady pipeline of highways and public realm schemes within a well-established framework environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Commercial management of highways projects from pre-construction through to final account

*

Preparation, submission, and agreement of valuations

*

Managing change control, variations, and compensation events

*

Cost forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management

*

Subcontract procurement, management, and payments

*

Supporting final accounts and commercial close-out

*

Working closely with project managers, engineers, and client representatives

*

Ensuring compliance with framework procedures and contractual requirements

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on highways / civil engineering projects

*

Strong knowledge of highways frameworks and NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4 preferred)

*

Experience working on local authority or public sector highways schemes

*

Strong commercial and contractual awareness
