We are currently collaborating with a main contractor that specialises in the Responsive repairs, planned maintenance and retrofit projects for local authorities and housing associations.

With offices across the UK the company now employs over 700 skilled operatives and specialists delivering a national solution with a local focus.

Since their inception 20 years ago, the company has grown rapidly having completed works on over 5,000 tenanted properties and now turnover in excess of £80 million offering comprehensive works covering full kitchen and bathroom replacements, electrical rewires, boiler changes, new heating systems, disabled adaptations, external insulated rendering, general roofing, loft insulation, and external environmental works.

The Role

Our client is seeking to appoint a Site Manager to join their team in Hertfordshire, working on a portfolio of pitched and flat roofing projects delivered through social housing frameworks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. While the ideal candidate will come from a main contractor background, individuals with strong experience working for roofing subcontractors will also be considered.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Manage day-to-day site operations on pitched and flat roofing projects

* Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, quality, and safety requirements

* Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers

* Monitor progress and resolve site issues as they arise

* Maintain high standards of health, safety, and compliance

* Liaise with resident liaison officers and ensure minimal disruption to tenants

* Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and progress reporting

* Ensure works are completed in line with client and framework requirements Managing health and safety compliance on site
