Bid Writer – Decarbonisation & Retrofit

My client, a long‑established and highly respected property services provider within the social housing sector, is expanding its Bid Team and seeking five experienced Bid Writers to support continued growth.

Operating for over three decades, my client delivers a wide range of services to local authorities and housing associations, including responsive repairs, planned maintenance, voids, refurbishment, compliance, and decarbonisation/retrofit programmes. They are known for their strong values, community focus, and consistent delivery across large, complex housing portfolios.

Role Overview

You will focus on bids for decarbonisation, retrofit, and energy efficiency programmes, supporting my client’s growing sustainability and PAS 2035-compliant services.

Key Responsibilities

Develop compelling responses for decarbonisation and retrofit tenders

Work with sustainability and technical teams to gather accurate content

*

Write method statements covering PAS 2035 roles, EPC uplift, fabric-first approaches, and resident engagement

*

Produce content on insulation, heating upgrades, ventilation, and energy modelling

*

Maintain a specialist library of decarbonisation content

Essential Experience

*

Bid writing experience in decarbonisation, retrofit, energy efficiency, or low-carbon works

*

Understanding of PAS 2035 and retrofit compliance

*

Experience working with local authorities or housing associations
