Data & Analytics Analyst | Up to £510 per day | Outside IR35 | 3 Months | Solihull/Hybrid
 
Overview
 
We’re seeking a Data & Analytics Analyst to support the delivery of enterprise-scale data and analytics solutions. This role is ideal for a contractor who enjoys working across data engineering, BI, and analytics delivery, partnering with stakeholders to turn business needs into actionable insights.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Data Engineering

Support design, build, and maintenance of ETL pipelines
Assist with data architecture, models, and documentation 
Business Intelligence & Analytics

Deliver dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc analysis
Translate business needs into clear analytics requirements
Validate and analyse diverse data sets
Ensure BI outputs are accurate, reliable, and trusted
Identify trends, insights, and improvement opportunities 
User Experience & Delivery

Develop user stories, personas, and analytics requirements
Support delivery of analytics services aligned to business needs and SLAs
Enable self-service reporting through guidance and best practice
Monitor performance metrics and support continuous improvement 
Risk & Governance

Support data risk management and incident resolution
Ensure solutions align with architecture, security, and governance standards

Skills & Experience
 
Essential

Experience across data analysis and business intelligence
Strong SQL and scripting skills (Python, PowerShell or similar)
Understanding of data management and analytics principles
Strong problem-solving skills and stakeholder collaboration 
Desirable

Cloud data platforms (e.g. Azure Synapse)
Data warehousing experience
Power BI or similar BI tools

Hybrid with 2-3 days in the Solihull office
