Building Surveyor
One of the UK's leading construction consultancies are currently seeking a dedicated and technically capable Building Surveyor to join their expanding Public Sector team, working across healthcare, blue light, education and local government projects.
My client continue to grow due to sustained success within the public sector and are now looking to strengthen their Building Surveying capability with the appointment of a Building Surveyor who is passionate about delivering high quality consultancy services and making a positive social and environmental impact.
The Building Surveyor Role
The successful Building Surveyor will work closely with Senior Building Surveyors and Associates, overseeing projects from inception through to completion. You will collaborate with a wide range of construction professionals and stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget, with a strong focus on client satisfaction.
This role offers hybrid working with site visits as required, supporting both project delivery and a healthy work life balance.
Duties of the Building Surveyor to include:
· Acting as Contract Administrator and or Employer's Agent where required
· Preparation of project designs and specifications
· Managing projects of varying size and complexity
· Undertaking building surveys and site inspections
· Preparation of tender documentation, evaluations and recommendations
· Providing contractual advice pre and post contract
· Preparing existing and proposed plans in CAD format
· Managing and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams
· Acting as Lead Designer where appropriate
The Person?
The successful Building Surveyor will be technically strong, client focused and confident managing projects with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will fit the following description:
· Degree qualified in Building Surveying or equivalent (RICS accredited)
· Strong technical grounding across all core areas of Building Surveying
· Client focused with a commercial, outcome driven approach
· Able to manage projects independently
· Confident networker with an interest in business development
· Able to delegate effectively and develop leadership capability
Please note: Due to client requirements, this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

· £55,000 – £65,000
