Senior Engineer – £80m BTR Scheme

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a well-established contractor on a flagship £80m Build-to-Rent (BTR) residential project in Wolverhampton.

This is a permanent position offering long-term stability, working on a major multi-room residential development with strong systems, support, and future progression opportunities.

The Role

As Senior Engineer, you will take a lead role in managing engineering activities across the project, with a strong focus on quality assurance, setting out, and technical compliance. You will also manage and mentor site engineers, ensuring engineering standards are maintained throughout all stages of the build.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate all engineering activities on site

*

Oversee and manage site engineers, providing technical guidance and support

*

Take ownership of quality assurance, inspections, and record keeping

*

Carry out and check setting out for structural, RC frame, and external works

*

Review drawings and specifications for accuracy and buildability

*

Ensure works are delivered in line with design, programme, and quality standards

*

Support site management with technical input and problem-solving

*

Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements at all times

About You

*

Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on large-scale residential or multi-room projects

*

Strong QA and quality checking background

*

Experience managing and mentoring engineers on site

*

SMSTS, CSCS (essential)

*

Excellent understanding of construction methodology and sequencing

*

Strong communication and organisational skills
