The Role

We are seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead day-to-day site delivery on a large new-build industrial project.

This role sits directly beneath the Project Manager and is responsible for controlling all construction activities, managing multiple workstreams, driving programme performance and leading the site team.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to individuals who have successfully delivered major industrial or commercial projects and can manage complex, fast-paced construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

Full control of daily construction operations
Leadership of Construction Managers, Site Managers and package leads
Planning, sequencing and programme recovery
Management of subcontractors across civils, structure, envelope, MEP and fit-out
Health & safety leadership and site compliance
Chairing daily and weekly progress meetings
Resolving technical, logistical and programme challenges
Driving quality standards and sectional completions
Reporting progress, risk and performance to senior leadershipKey Requirements

Extensive experience delivering large industrial or commercial new builds
Proven leadership of large site teams
Strong programme and subcontractor management capability
Main contractor background essential
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
SMSTS, CSCS and relevant construction qualifications
