Sphere solutions are currently recruiting for a senior quantity surveyor to work with a reputable civil engineering contractor in South Wales. The client a looking to recruit a well driven QS to work on Housing groundwork schemes across South Wales.

The Client:

Our client specialises in civil engineering, building works, design and build, building refurbishment and maintenance works within a wide cross spectrum of industries. They operate from Bridgend and is strategically positioned to serve a multitude of businesses in South Wales.

The Candidate:

* 3-5 years industry experience

* Degree qualified (preferable)

* Ideally resides locally to the area

* Experienced in groundworks, housing or new build (essential)

* CSCS card

* Refurbishment and school/large accommodation experience (preferable)

The Role:

* Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project

* Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation

* Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly

* liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers , project managers and site engineers

* Select and/or source construction materials

* Write reports

* Mentor and manage subordinate staff

* Liaising and presenting to the client on the project performance
