Site Manager
I am currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee refurbishment and planned maintenance works within the social housing sector. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating trades, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and driving projects to successful completion in line with programme, safety requirements, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily site activity across multiple refurbishment and occupied-property projects
Ensure works are completed on time, within budget, and to specification
Maintain excellent communication with tenants, client representatives, subcontractors, and internal teams
Oversee all H&S compliance, RAMS, inductions, and toolbox talks
Carry out quality inspections, snagging, and handover documentation
Report progress, risks, and delays to Project/Contracts Manager
Maintain site records and ensure accurate documentation is completed
Promote a positive customer experience, particularly within occupied homes
Ideal Candidate
Proven Site Manager experience in social housing refurbishment (kitchens, bathrooms, externals, decarbonisation, voids, etc.)
Strong knowledge of construction processes and compliance
Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain high-quality standards
Excellent communication and tenant-liaison skills
SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, First Aid (minimum requirement)
Ability to work autonomously and problem-solve on site
Immediate or short-notice availability preferred
