Transport Manager – West Midlands

360 Recruitment is currently assisting a specialist contractor in their search for a Transport Manager, to be based out of their West Midlands office.

Job role: Transport Manager

Location: West Midlands

Salary: £40k – £45k (dependant on level of experience)

Responsibilities:

Manage and enforce company processes and procedures to ensure full compliance with the requirements of the Operator License.
Maintain Operator license data to the satisfaction of the Office of the Traffic Commissioner and DVSA.
Administrate, advise, and inform the wider business on all legislative updates relating to Operator License compliance, record keeping requirements, vehicles checks, maintenance, and condition reporting.
Ensure that fleet processes comply fully with legislative requirements of continuous motor insurance.
Provide support and advice to all employees within the business.
Ensure all vehicles are serviced as per manufacturers’ recommended service intervals and LOLER tests are kept up to date.
Ensure that vehicles and equipment are maintained in a fit and proper manner, in accordance with vehicle & equipment operating manuals.
Keep the Directors and Senior Managers of the business fully informed of any issues arising that require action.
Maintain up to date knowledge of all relevant regulations and legislation.
Qualifications / Experience:

3+ year experience in a similar role.
Excellent communication skills.
Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
Technical background in light & heavy vehicles.
