Senior Civil Engineer

Hays are currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer for our client based in Fermanagh. This role will be part of their Regional Management Team, Northern region operations.

Your new role
The Senior Engineer will oversee the management/maintenance, recreational/commercial use and future development of water infrastructure. The Senior Engineer will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Regional Depots and will engage with Operations Stores to support the development, procurement and purchasing of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management
- Liaise with environmental bodies and in-house environmental staff to ensure that environmental requirements are agreed to help manage and monitor projects to stay within budget and meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Contribute to and comply with the Health and Safety Statement and other procedures, including undertaking safety inspections, risk assessments and toolbox talks
- Assist with the development of methods, processes and systems to enhance productivity
- Deal with any matter as requested by the Senior Management Team
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in the Engineering Panel role, you must have the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience
- Hold a current driving licence and have access to transport which will permit travel throughout Ireland.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
