Your new role
As a Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing projects from the pre-construction phase through to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that all site management and installation activities are executed safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining the highest quality standards. Your role will involve coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and the internal design team to ensure that all contractual obligations are met.
You will be expected to manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring that any issues are promptly addressed and resolved. Regular site visits will be necessary to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. You will also be responsible for preparing and presenting detailed project reports to stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need to bring a wealth of experience in Contracts Management or construction management on projects in Construction or Installation. A thorough understanding of contract management and site practices is essential, along with familiarity with Health & Safety Legislation. You should be adept at reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and organisational skills are crucial, as you will be leading project teams and liaising with various stakeholders to ensure project success. Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and your attention to detail will be key to delivering projects that meet the high standards they are known for.
