Approach Personnel are proud to be partnered with a leading Property Services contractor, who are looking to appoint an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor, to join them on a permanent basis out of their office in Derby. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the commercial success of our projects, ensuring all of our planned refurbishment projects are completed on time and in budget.

What are we looking for?

* A proven Assistant Quantity Surveyor who has experience, ideally within the commercial refurbishment sector.

* A degree in Quantity Surveying, or currently completing one

* A strong understanding of cost management and sub-contractor procurement.

* Full UK's driving license

Key Responsibilities:

* Assisting with cost planning and cost reporting across multiple projects.

* Tracking actual costs against budgets and forecasts.

* Monitoring project spend and highlighting risks early to appropriate individuals

* Assisting with subcontractor valuations and payments
