Construction Planner

Bridge Recruitment Services Ltd – Ashford

We’re looking for a Construction Planner to join a London-based residential developer delivering high-quality new-build homes. You’ll be responsible for putting together and managing construction programmes, working closely with the project managers and site teams to keep everything running safely, smoothly and on time. The role is a mix of big-picture planning and hands-on site involvement, making sure programmes always reflect what’s really happening on site.

Key Responsibilities

– Build, maintain and manage detailed construction programmes using industry-standard planning software to support the delivery of live residential projects.

– Work closely with project managers, site teams and subcontractors to agree scope, key milestones and sequencing, and to integrate subcontractor schedules into the overall programme.

– Track site progress against the programme, identify delays, risks and critical path issues, and help develop practical mitigation plans.

– Produce and present regular programme updates, progress reports, look-ahead schedules and forecasts for project and site meetings.

– Support both pre-construction and live projects by developing baseline programmes, phasing plans and programme strategies that align with construction objectives.

The Ideal Candidate

– Will have at least 5 years’ UK experience in construction planning, ideally within new-build residential, giving you a strong understanding of how projects are built, sequenced and managed on site.

– Be confident using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project to build, update and analyse detailed programmes, including critical path, progress tracking and forecasting.

– Highly organised and analytical, able to turn site information into clear, reliable programmes and communicate them effectively to project managers, site teams and subcontractors.

– Comfortable working between office and site environments, collaborating closely with delivery teams to keep programmes accurate and realistic.

– A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
