Building Services Manager – Mechanical bias
We’re looking for an experienced Building Services Manager with a mechanical bias to join a well-established Tier 2 main contractor delivering high-quality commercial projects in Oxford.
This role offers the ideal balance of office-based work and hands-on site involvement, allowing you to focus on validating tenders, value engineering, evaluating M&E subcontractors, and reviewing technical submittals, while spending around 30% of your time on-site overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning.

Key responsibilities:
Review, prepare, and check technical submittals.
Validate tenders and support value engineering exercises.
Evaluate M&E subcontractors and manage supply chain compliance.
Review on-site technical submittals and oversee install, testing, and commissioning.
Produce reports and ensure commercial and technical risks are mitigated.You’ll need:
Proven experience as a Building Services Manager on commercial projects.
Strong mechanical engineering / building services background.
Excellent knowledge of M&E systems, subcontractor management, and tender evaluation.
Ability to split time between office-based management and site presence.
Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
