We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of major civil engineering projects involving a mix of civils and marine works. This role is ideal for a driven professional with a proven ability to manage complex construction projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end delivery of heavy civil projects, including planning, execution, and close-out
Oversee marine-related activities such as quay walls, piling, dredging support works, coastal structures, or marine infrastructure (as applicable)
Lead site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure programme and quality targets are met
Control project budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting
Ensure full compliance with HSEQ standards and contractual requirements
Liaise with clients, engineers, local authorities, and marine stakeholders
Identify and manage project risks, opportunities, and change control
Prepare progress reports and contribute to commercial and programme reviews
Requirements
Proven experience as a Project Manager (roads, structures, earthworks, concrete, utilities, or similar)
Marine construction experience (e.g. marine piling, marine earthworks, dredging and coastal works) is highly desirable
Strong understanding of civil engineering contracts (using NEC)
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple work fronts in challenging environments
Relevant engineering or construction qualification preferred
Package:
£70,000-£90,000 per annum
